Film producer Basel Mawlawi is giving a digital course as an initiative between SENSUS and FilmCentrum Syd to talk about the basic criteria for implementing a complete application for film financing such as applying to the Swedish Film Institute, Film I Skåne, Film I Väst, SVT.. etc.
Participants will gain basic knowledge on how to create a complete application for their upcoming film project. The purpose is to help newcomers to Sweden to match their application with the Swedish financier’s criteria.

Due to the global situation that is connected to COVID19, the course will be held digitally through an online platform like Zoom. The course will start on the 16th of November 2020 and continues for 10 days.
The Lecturer: Basel Mawlawi
Basel Mawlawi is the founder of Kinana Films, producer, and a production manager. He was born and raised in Syria, however, he got professional education in filmmaking from the UK and Australia. He has been working as a producer for more than 8 years and several documentaries and short films are on his credit. His short film Patchwork House also premiered at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival in the short film corner. While Yalla Parkour is the latest addition to his portfolio that was pitched at the Malmo Arab Film festival.
