Who are we?
Kinana Films AB is a Film & Tv production company based in Malmö that was established in 2018 by producer Basel Mawlawi and quickly became known as one of the trusted production companies in Sweden. Our purpose is to support and welcome new voices, ideas, and perspectives. We aim to utilize our space and knowledge as a bridge between Sweden and the Middle East. We are constantly working on fortifying, and contributing to the diversity of productions in Sweden. Our attention to detail and dedication to every project has lead to the worthy reputation we proudly hold today.
We write and produce fictional scripts, with extensive focus on character and story development that incorporates innovative perspective and unique storytelling techniques.

Our in-house studio offers a full range of post-production services. We also provide translation from/to Swedish, Arabic, and English.
